Jake's Crab Cakes
  • 1 pound jumbo lump crab meat
  • 2/3 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/3 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • salad oil for sauteing
Pick over crab meat. Combine all ingredients and shape into ten crab cakes. Saute in oil until brown. Serves 5.
In this recipe, nothing is added that might interfere with the perfect, natural sweetness of the crab meat.
