Crab Meat Almond
  • 1 pound lump crab meat
  • 3 tablespoons almonds, chopped (leave a few whole)
  • 1 minced onion
  • 3 tablespoons bread crumbs
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 egg
  • dash of red pepper
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 small can mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • dash of mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup grated cheese
Mix all together except small amount of whole almonds and grated cheese. Put in baking dish and then cover the top with cheese and place the almonds around the sides. Cook 1/2 hour or until brown at 350 degrees.
This recipe is credited to Edwin Lambden of Georgetown, DE and was the Fourth Place Junior Range Winner (tied) in the 1972 National Hard Crab Derby in Crisfield, MD.
