Tonya's Clam Chowder

    Ingredients:
  • 20 large clams
  • 1 medium onion, greased
  • 3 large potatoes, diced
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons bacon grease
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups milk (optional)

Preparation Instructions:

Chop clams; combine in saucepan with onion and potatoes. Cover with water and add bacon grease. Cook until potatoes and clams are tender. Add doughboys made from Jiffy mix or Bisquick and milk. Simmer an additional 15 minutes.
