Maryland Crab Meltaways
Maryland crabmeat mixed with cheese, butter and seasonings, and then spread on an English muffin to bake until golden perfection is the ideal appetizer. It’s just plain delicious, plus these little delights can be assembled ahead of time and cooked moments before your guests arrive.
I’ve heard this delectable dish called many different things. In Annapolis, Ms. Pickett calls it Crabbies and uses Cheese Whiz, while in Crisfield, Ms. Scott calls it Crab Meltaways and uses Cheddar. Either way, either cheese, either name, they are delectable!
