Ware River Crab Imperial
  • 1 pound backfin crab meat
  • 2 tablespoons capers
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • pinch of cayenne pepper
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • butter
  • paprika to sprinkle
Mix first seven ingredients by tossing, avoid breaking crab meat lumps. Butter baking dish and place in dish. Put butter lump on top and sprinkle paprika on top. Bake in 375 degree oven for 20 to 30 minutes or until brown. Serves 6.
This dish is very easy to prepare, and it is a standard Bay recipe that has been around forever. Accompany it with lots of lager beer or a white table wine.
