Molto Buono Grilled Pizza with Crab, Artichoke, and Bacon
Grilled Pizza with Crab, Artichoke and Bacon is a mouthwatering twist on traditional pizza.
When I first grilled it up for my Baltimore-born Sicilian grandmother she looked quite skeptical, but after her first bite, she leaned over and asked, “What’s the recipe, Beck?”
This grilled pizza is perfect folded over like a sandwich and eaten with your hands or slice it up and serve it as a tasty and stylish appetizer at your next party.
When grilling with savory Blue Crab crabmeat it’s important to note that it can dry out very quickly. To prevent this from happening make sure to drizzle it with a little of the artichoke marinade. Another scrumptious option would be to add a dab of ricotta cheese to the crabmeat and lightly mix it before placing it on the pizza.
Sure you can use King or Snow crabmeat, or even chopped shrimp or lobster meat, to dress up this pizza even further. Definitely serve this with a robust Chianti.
