Handling and Preparation Instructions
Shucked oysters arrive in jars and stay fresh for about 14 days. Enjoy them grilled, baked, fried, or in oyster fritters. To fry, combine cracker meal and a pinch freshly ground black pepper and dredge the oysters through the mixture. Fry in a few inches of oil at 320°F until golden brown, or about 2 minutes. Drain and serve with cocktail or tartar sauce.
Shucked Oysters Shelf Life:
- Fresh: will last up to 14 days in the refrigerator
- Frozen: will last up to 6 months in the freezer
- Once cooked: will last up to 3 days in the refrigerator
