Anna Rose's Creamy Crab Soup
A creamy crab soup made with jumbo lump crab meat, half 'n' half and Old Bay.
- 1 stick butter
- 1 quart half and half milk
- 2 heaping tablespoons chopped celery
- a few celery leaves
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon white pepper (or black)
- 8 drops Tabasco sauce
- 2 tablespoons flour
- ½ cup milk
- 1 pound jumbo lump crab meat
- Old Bay seasoning
Heat together first 7 ingredients. Do not boil. Mix flour with milk and stir in. Add crab meat and Old Bay to taste. Cook and stir over low heat for about 15 minutes.
Yields 8 cups. |
