| A crab's gender can be determined by the shape of its underside "apron." Crab anatomy is surprisingly patriotic. The male crab's apron is shaped like an inverted T and resembles the Washington monument when viewed in profile. An adult female's is broad and rounded and reminds the onlooker of the Capitol Building. |
